ACCC coffee at Clinton Physical Therapy Center

Clinton Physical Therapy Center has been celebrating their 22 years in service during July and August. As one part of their celebration they recently hosted a morning coffee for the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, including tours of their facility.

CPTC was founded by Joyce Klee, PT and Kelly Lenz, PT on July 18, 1988 and has grown from a staff of two to a current staff of twenty-seven. Joyce and Kelly are graduates of the Mayo Clinic Program in Physical Therapy in Rochester, MN.

The facility includes two buildings with a total of 28,000 square feet at 1921 N. Charles Seivers Boulevard. The complex houses the physical therapy services, state of the art equipment, two warm-water therapeutic pools and a community based fitness center, Take Charge Fitness Program. The wellness facility includes a yoga studio, pilates studio, aerobic exercise/dance studio, aerobic equipment, free weights, Strive circuit training area, an indoor walking track with a rubberized walking service to lessen stress on the joints and massage therapy.

Physical therapists employed at CPTC have experience ranging from twelve to thirty-two years and include an APTA certified orthopedic specialist and ergonomic evaluation specialist. Specialty programs include sports medicine, aquatic rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, foot orthotics, fibromyalgia program, industrial medicine, Graston instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, pediatrics and burn therapy. The center also treats orthopedic injuries, back/neck pain and neurologic disorders typically seen at physical therapy clinics.

Take Charge Fitness Program is also a significant part of CPTC. The18,000 square foot facility includes many different exercise options that include: cardiovascular machines, strength equipment that includes both machines and free weights, a specialized STRIVE circuit training area, dedicated Yoga studio, dedicated Pilates studio for Mat and Reformer classes, a large group exercise studio that is the home for several different class formats, an indoor walking track, and two heated pools.

At the coffeee, TCFP Fitness Director Anna Dark highlighted their membership special during the month of August. Individuals can join Take Charge Fitness and receive 50% off the joining fee - a $30 savings.
